Who We Are.

This site has been created by design students from OSU to aide in a 10 week long research project concerned with defining the current community network that supports sustainable living and business practices on and off campus. The blog is meant to increase communication within our community; to act as a message board for any individual, organization or business that wishes to increase networking, recruit volunteers, or share their opinions about current events.

Columbus Green Drinks has been an active networking group in Columbus since April. It is part of an international organization thats general goal is to gather like minds to discuss sustainable living in a relaxed environment. They are generous hosts to guest speakers from the community and anyone interested in making connections and discussing sustainability.

Sara, thank you for you comments about Green Drinks. I have come on this blog to invite environmentally minded folks to attend our events, which are held the third Thursday of every month at the Surly Girl Saloon in the Short North. The next event will be November 16 and feature the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm, a collective of local organic farmers. You can keep in the loop with all the Green Drinks goings on by signing up at http://www.greendrinks.org.

We are also searching for a volunteer to help with managing the Green Drinks e-mail list and other IT challenges. If you are interested in helping out, please send me an e-mail at tad@shepherdadvisors.com.
